In an effort to regain his confidence, he enlists the help of a cutthroat manager to reclaim his former glory, even if it costs him his soul. Paul Newman delivers a captivating performance in this morally complex sports drama. Also starring Jackie Gleason, Piper Laurie, and George C. Scott.
